POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the VP of Manufacturing will lead the work of four plant managers who oversee the work of approximately 600 employees within the United States. As a senior member of the operations management team, they will participate in the development of strategies and priorities for performance improvement, technological and product innovation and management of the sustainable development program. They are a key driver of fostering an operational excellence culture at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities include:
- Developing and deploying a strategic manufacturing plan aligned to overall business strategy, and operational objectives.
- Responsible for planning, sourcing, production and delivery to ensure product quality, cost and delivery requirements are met.
- Reviewing analyses of cost, operations and forecast data to determine to progress toward stated goals and objectives and provides regular updates to senior management on project progress, timelines and critical items.
- Creating and maintaining relationships across the company with all levels of internal and/or external parties including but not limited to clinical, global planning, marketing, manufacturing, regulatory, customers and other key stakeholders.
- Leveraging cultural and individual differences amongst parties to maximize success and championing team decisions.
- Ensuring a safe and health-oriented work environment for all. Building a culture where customer service and quality are at the heart of everyday business.
- Leading continuous process improvement, reduction of rejects, efficiency of production lines, reduction of manufacturing costs in a Lean Manufacturing environment, use of key performance indicators and benchmarking.
- Collaborating with the talent management team in creating and supporting skills development programs in an approach focused on engaging employees at all levels.
- Develops future leaders by providing resources and support to develop skills and capabilities through unique development opportunities
- Consistently demonstrating operational excellence and the balance of calculated risk taking
- Leveraging breadth of knowledge in influencing senior leaders to adopt new methods and technologies that define and drive the overall business strategy in a fast changing environment.
- Ensuring the company’s leadership in the implementation and implementation of sustainable development programs (strategies, meetings, monitoring, etc.)
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or industrial engineering or related field
- Graduate degree in administration or management
- 10 to 15 years of factory management experience
- At least 3 years managing multiple facilities in food processing industry
- Knowledge and experience in sustainable development
- Experience in Lean Six Sigma
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
