Summary:

Reporting to the Manager of Margin Management, this role will support the corporate finance team at Lassonde Pappas & Co. This role will be responsible for management of trade spending and various other promotional spend accrual & prepaid accounts. This role will also perform trade spend support analysis in meeting the overall strategic plans of Lassonde Pappas & Company. The position works out of the Lassonde Pappas corporate headcounters in Carneys Point, NJ.

Major Responsibilities:

• Prepares month end journal entries
• Maintains prepaid and accrual schedules to insure items are recorded in the correct period and have appropriate balances
• Analyzes, investigates and reconciles monthly general ledger accounts
• Prepares monthly reporting and administration of trade spending to support our Sales Team
• Assists with the evaluation of various business trade spending opportunities
• Assists with quarterly reviews and yearly audit process
• Provides ad-hoc analysis as assigned to support budget, forecast and bid/pricing functions
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree Accounting

• Highly proficient in Excel

• The ability to think critically and independently
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational skills, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to manipulate large amounts of data
• Ability to meet assigned deadlines
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

• • Experience in QlikView

• Trade spend experience

• Experience in the food/beverage industry

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS

This position requires sufficient physical ability to work in a typical office setting; driving a motor vehicle and occasionally working in the field.

FREQUENT: sitting, upward and downward flexion of neck; fine finger dexterity and light to moderate finger pressure to include extended periods of keyboard and mouse use, side-to-side turning of neck, walking, standing, bending and stooping, pushing/pulling, twisting at waist, moderate wrist torque to twist equipment knobs and dials.

OCCASIONAL: squatting, kneeling, reach above and at shoulder height, moderate grasp to manipulate reference books and manuals; lifting objects weighing 20 – 35 lbs. from below waist to above shoulders and transporting distances up to 50 feet.

VISION: Ability to see in the normal visual range with or without correction.

HEARING: Ability to hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
