We currently have an opening in our Maintenance Department for an Electrician. This opening is on 1st shift (0600-1400). This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and is responsible for performing installations, repairs, preventative maintenance, and process improvements on production equipment and facilities in an effective and timely manner.

Major Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

  • Properly and efficiently installs, programs and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley variable frequency drives, PF4, PF40, PF70, 523 and 525.
  • Intstall and troubleshoot a variety of photoeyes and proxes.
  • Performs maintenance, installation, and preventative maintenance on all production and facilities equipment.
  • Coordinates efforts with management, production, quality, maintenance, and other personnel to effectively utilize all equipment and processes and work toward continuous process improvement.
  • Coordinates with outside contractors and vendors to obtain needed parts, equipment, and technical knowledge.
  • Works to maintain company objectives and departmental budgets.
  • Completes all required paperwork as directed by management.
  • Assists production personnel to changeover production equipment and maximize production efficiency as dictated by production schedules.
  • Trains other maintenance and production personnel to safely, effectively, and efficiently use production, and facilities equipment.
  • Maintains work area in a neat and orderly manner.
  • Performs other job duties as directed by management.

 
Experience & Skills

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Four years Industrial Maintenance or Technician experience required, OR equivalent technical degree or education.
  • Must be able to operate a forklift, manlift, and basic power tools.
  • Must have basic math abilities to calculate times, speeds, temperatures, etc.
  • Must have the ability to communicate in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Must have the ability to function as a team player under demanding circumstances.
  • Must have the ability to recognize and utilize the proper Personal Protective Equipment for specific tasks.
  • Must have up to date training in Hazcom; Welding, Cutting, and Brazing Safety; Forklift Safety; Confined Space Entry; and Electrical Safety.
