We currently have an opening in our Maintenance Department for a Line Mechanic. This opening is on 2nd Shift (2pm-10pm). This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and is responsible to keep the production line free from breakdowns.

Major Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

  • Complete routine and preventative maintenance tasks safely, cost effectively and on time.
  • Ability to comprehend verbal and written instructions. Able to properly complete all documentation associated with maintenance, including documenting deficiencies and problems on PM paperwork.
  • Operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting all production line equipment associated with the process to prevent and/or correct mechanical and electrical breakdown.
  • Understand, troubleshoot, and repair equipment, such as:
    • Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Piping and valves, Bearing removal and installation, Pumps, motors, couplings, shaft alignment, Tig and Arc welding.
    • Electrical understanding and capability with 110V to 480V electric circuits.
  • Read and understand electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic schematics and mechanical assembly drawings.
  • Assist and help set up production line equipment. Drive the execution of changeovers according to production schedule.
  • Meet or exceed production standards. Work with production on a daily basis to coordinate appropriate course of action to maximize uptime and quality performance of respective area. 
  • Operate machinery for purposes of training, troubleshooting, or as needed to support production activities
  • Additional duties as assigned

 
Experience & Skills

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Four years Industrial Maintenance or Technician experience required, OR equivalent technical degree or education.
  • Experience with safe practices in working with electrical sources
  • Must be able to weld proficiently to repair and fabricate – Tig and Arc.
  • Must be proficient in the use of a cutting torch and plasma cutter.
  • Must be able to operate a forklift, man lift, pressure washer, and basic power tools.
  • Must have basic math abilities to calculate times, speeds, temperatures, etc.
  • Must have the ability to function as a team player under demanding circumstances.
  • Must have the ability to recognize and utilize the proper Personal Protective Equipment for specific tasks.
  • Must provide personal tools
